1. Welcome and Apologies:

2. Exec Updates:
- Ollie is getting corridor keys cut
- Eric is hoping that the website is up soon, however Ollie is unsure
- James has been doing socials and they have been successful; Cerys has agreed to run socials while James is away from next week
- Ella has qualified for DMs and there are more people for end of term in terms of DMs
- Marketing is posting things to Instagram, Sinners did especially well, and they put out a pull for more marketing people and only got one response
- Lily is working on the events booking form for Welcome week
- Marnie has prints coming in, Paris Texas invoice is coming in soon and needs to be sent out
- Julian wants to give Daniel a que show, DMs should make sure they are closing barco when logging out of a computer
- Holly is possibly not able to do work over summer if she can’t download the programme. Although, this could possibly be done through a windows browser or Andy’s USB
- Ollie wants to make sure programme meetings are being put together soon which are is good, wants the Schedule to be done by the end of July
- Marnie agrees that this is a possibility
3. Key Deadlines for Welcome Week:
- A-Level results day is the 14th of August, so marketing should focus around this date so that new students looking at societies will be aware of what we do as a society
- Cerys wants to do a ‘congratulations on your results’ post, and possibly holding the schedule so there is a chance to have ‘guess the schedule’ posts
- Tickets on SU website by the final 1st September
- PUB to arrive before welcome week, ideally being ordered by end of August
- Eleanor suggests that this should be 7th of September latest
- Ollie would like to emphasise that people should be here for welcome week or possibly before
- James stated that students living on campus cannot be there until just before Welcome Week
- Julian suggested that residential community could possibly hand out flyers for the cinema with their timetable
- Ollie put forward the idea that it might be a good idea to go around to lectures and give small speeches
- Friday 25th of July is the deadline for the schedule
- Friday 5th of September for publicity ordering
- Friday 8th of August for publicity submissions such as reviews
4. TADONM
- Possibly doing one online before welcome week
- No point for one in Term 3 as people will be going home
5. AOBs
- External advertisement in Coventry and/or Leamington so that people in the community will come and see our films, possibly a flyer with a QR code to the website (if it is up and running by then)
- Around different Tesco’s, shop windows, community places
- Cinema for All Society awards which we submit to every year, we aim to apply for film programming award, marketing and publicity award and, single event award – How to train your Dragon, student cinema award
- The Cinema for All awards care about community more than they do about the print it was on or the ‘tech’ side of it
- Ollie would like to write for the single event award and film programming, marketing and publicity exec will write for their award together
- The arts centre’s new programmer has emailed asking us to meet with them, there are concerns about the Arts Centre taking advantage of our society, as they have done in the past
- It may be worth discussing ideas with them so that there aren’t any clashes in terms of events
- If we were to meet up with them, it should be within the next couple of weeks with president, vice-president and film officers
- Website needs to be back up otherwise Emrys and Cerys cannot put slides back up on the website, and film officers cannot post the schedule (was later discussed that Emrys has a possible VPN to remote in)
- The dual keys did not work, so Josh is attempted to get them fixed or from somewhere else using the money from the SU
- Having the social event at the duck next week being open to everyone, not just crew
- It was mentioned that Kieran knows how to fix the website, not Eric
- Last Welcome week there was a chalkboard that we can draw the films being shown and was put out on the bridge, or inside if it was raining, although now it is broken so publicity will need to order a new one
