Five Nights at Freddy's 2

HAR HAR HAR *cough cough*. Sorry about that, I don’t know what came over me there. It’s WSC resident Freddie (ignore the different spelling), here to tell you while it might not be for five nights, (just one), we do have two spectacular screenings of Five Nights at Freddy’s 2, following off from the last film. Spoilers! But let’s face it, you’re not watching this if you haven’t seen the first one, where security guard Mike Schmidt, (Josh Hutcherson) along with his sister Abby, (Piper Rubio) uncover the sinister machinations of William Afton (Matthew Lillard) at Freddy Fazbear’s Pizzeria, where Afton himself is murdered, ironically by his very own victims, who possess the animatronic suits he himself helped construct. Two years have passed since Afton’s death and Abby still greatly misses her mechanical murder pals — they’re quite nice if you get to know them. This is much to the dismay of Mike, who clearly is the only one in this series with any sort of common sense or self-preservation (he’d probably be great at the games). In Abby’s longing to reunite with the animatronics, in addition to some horror cliché of hapless teenagers venturing into locations infamous for murders while expecting to find sunshine and rainbows, the deadly Marionette is awakened. She unleashes a new series of ‘Toy’ animatronics who have been commandeered by the stellar voice cast of Megan Fox, franchise staple Kellen Goff and last but certainly not least MatPat, playing Toy Bonnie, the first animatronic to simultaneously whip and nae-nae. I must warn you though, while I am a fan and did enjoy the film, for its moments of hilarious fan service, it is extremely divisive, having broken the record for the largest split between audience and critics’ consensus on Rotten Tomatoes. This really is a film for the fans (and Scream fans of course, lest we forget the sort of reunion between Billy and Stu, with Skeet Ulrich playing Afton’s Business partner, the fan favorite Henry Emily). So, wind that music box, take a bite (of 87!) and see the horror laid BEAR.
