Weaponizing its actors’ beauty, the film delivers on its feminist themes with the edge of a trashy, sexy melodrama — both self-aware and self-indulgent. Overall, The Housemaid is an absolute treat to watch in the cinema with friends when all you want is a shabby thriller to fill the night!
