The Twilight Saga AllNighter
When you can live forever what do you live for?
Last year we saw the almighty The Lord of the Rings trilogy grace our screen, now get ready for… The Twilight Saga AllNighter! If you haven’t been to a Warwick Student Cinema classic AllNighter before, then where better to start than with five back to back films of sexy vampires and werewolves. We welcome you to join us in L3 overnight, and whether you tap out early or make it to the end, bring your snacks, friends, and even blankets (you already know I’m wearing my PJs).
Based on the book series, The Twilight Saga is a culture time capsule of the late 2000s/ early 2010s. It’s an indisputable fact that these movies uphold their reputation almost 20 years later. Are they camp? romantic? enigmatic? They’re all of the above. The colour grading of the first film is outstanding and melancholic, with increasingly brooding auras to follow as the series progresses. The Team Edward/Team Jacob divide singlehandedly perfected the teen-romance love-triangle trope, a debate that no-doubt still sparks discourse in young millennial circles. Without even touching on the sound-tracks (shout-out New Moon), The Twilight Saga is easily one for the history books and definitely deserving of an AllNighter slot at Warwick Student Cinema.
