FREE FOR MEMBERS: Roofman

Yet to be released at the time of writing this, Roofman is setting up to be a fun crime-comedy. This story is based on the true events of ex-military Jeffrey Manchester’s life, who if you google, has a “coast-to-coast reputation as the most courteous in the nation”. This ‘reputation’ follows Manchester’s attempt to live undetected in a Toys“R”Us after robbing several McDonald’s, notably by breaking in through the roof. Channing Tatum has repeatedly proven himself as a funny guy, his role in 21 Jump Street (or my favourite, him as The Gambit in Deadpool & Wolverine) confirming this. I have no doubts this movie will bring many laughs to its audiences, and as 2025 settles into autumn, this is the perfect fun watch amidst the post-reading-week blues.
