One Battle After Another
Some search for battle, others are born into it
|
Paul Thomas Anderson returns for his tenth feature film and second Thomas Pynchon adaptation (Vineland, this time) – however, unlike Inherent Vice, this is a contemporary update on the novel originally set in the 1980s. One Battle After Another has already begun to generate a buzz amongst dedicated fans and intrigued onlookers alike as it is the director’s most expensive film to date at $140 million, nearly double his acclaimed 2007 film There Will Be Blood and first collaboration with Leonardo DiCaprio. Shot on 35mm film with VistaVision cameras, it is his first film to be released in IMAX, being described as a high-octane action blockbuster. To say that this is a can’t-miss event for all film lovers would be an understatement!
