The Long Walk
The task is simple: Walk or die
|
If you share my love for long walks, this film might be for you - or at least, that’s what I initially thought. However, like many Stephen King adaptations, The Long Walk, directed by Francis Lawrence, offers a much bleaker vision. In a dystopian United States under an authoritarian regime, 100 young men take part in an annual walking contest where they must maintain a set pace or face execution. Only one can survive. If that’s not your idea of a pleasant stroll, then why not experience the grim spectacle of 100 men fighting for their lives from the comfort of Warwick Student Cinema?
