Review:

Starring Tom Hiddleston in the leading role, The Life of Chuck is based on a story from the great mind of Stephen King. Split into three acts, the narrative looks at Chuck’s life in what was described as “a buoyant and often wonderful adaptation of one of Stephen King's more cosmically optimistic tales” by Rotten Tomatoes. Mike Flanagan (The Haunting of Hill House, Doctor Sleep, Gerald’s Game) seems to break from his notoriously dark and foreboding filmography with this one. This movie nicely contrasts two other Stephen King adaptation new releases on our schedule later this term, The Long Walk and The Running Man. So, if you’re wanting a break from the repetitive thrillers that Stephen King is well renowned for, then why not try his take on the introspective and poignant side of things with The Life of Chuck?
