Pop-culture legends Lindsay Lohan & Jamie Lee Curtis are back to bring new life to the 2000s “body-swap” success. Set against a back-drop of sunny California skies and Chappell Roan pop, Freakier Friday is a new female-fronted comedy about family curses and magic-gone-wrong. A love letter to the (by default, a little less freaky?) original film, this is the perfect pick for Fresher’s week – it’s full of feel-good fun, slightly botched British accents, the angsty elderly, Manny Jacinto & Chad Michael Murray, and a bunch of weird body-switched women who are, quite literally, forced to experience life in someone else’s shoes – all colliding to create this nostalgic, chaotic, and highly-anticipated “freakquel.”
