Review:

The third film part of our Technicolor season and the perfect film to watch to start feeling festive, Lady and the Tramp graces our screen this autumn. Not everything about this film has aged well but the love and appreciation of dogs has stood the test of time, and the classic animation style and soundtrack is timeless in its own right. The colour and sound are bound to stun in L3, as we present the film in vibrant technicolor with 4-track magnetic stereo sound, which is becoming such a rarity in cinema and is a truly special way to engage with cinema. We remember how amazing Suspiria sounded on 4-track mag and are so excited to hear the beautiful Bella Notte and lush soundtrack on such a unique form that is becoming harder and harder to find in good condition.

We all know the story; the pampered, preppy Cocker Spaniel Lady falls in love with the charming, scruffy Mutt Tramp. Chaos ensues when meddlesome cats and a troublesome rat threaten the sanctity of Lady’s suburban life. This film has heaps of charm and is definitely worth seeing if you haven’t already, and if you have, why not come down to Warwick Student Cinema to see it in a form rarely ever seen these days. If you’re a Disney fan, a dog lover or a celluloid film enjoyer, make sure you don’t miss this one.
