Review:

Take Off With Us in this semi-autobiographical masterpiece, where director Bob Fosse plays his life out on screen through the gaze of theatre director Joe Gideon (Roy Scheider). Faced with the impossible task of directing a musical whilst simultaneously editing his movie, the stress takes its toll on Gideon, and he begins to become philosophical about his life. This was described by Stanley Kubrick as “the best film I’ve ever seen”, so don’t just take my word for how good it is! With a killer soundtrack, a dazzling lead performance by Scheider and a final dance sequence that will leave you speechless, this is certainly not a show to miss. All I have to say is… “It’s showtime folks!”
