Gothic. Transsexual. Sci-Fi. A true cult classic, The Rocky Horror Picture Show is an unabashedly queer feverdream - inspired and influenced by Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein - which has amassed a loyal following in the last 50 years. Tim Curry stars as the audacious, flamboyant Frank-N-Furter, head of the household, with his eccentric collection of assistants, maids, and friends. Alongside Curry, RHPS features Susan Sarandon and Barry Bostwick as Janet Weiss and Brad Majors, Richard O’Brien as Riff Raff, and Peter Hinwood as the titular Rocky. Famous for its audience participation, dressed-up film-going RHPS regulars have gradually built up, over the years, a repertoire of callouts during the film. The Rocky Horror Picture Show remains a long-standing, beautifully camp and unapologetically queer film, one that was decades ahead of its time.

Rocky Horror isn't just a film -- in fact it's barely even a film -- it's an experience. It's a gloriously camp and glittery love letter to horror and hedonism like no other, that has to be seen to be believed. If you decide to come along to this cult classic, you'd better be prepared for costumes, audience participation, songs, dancing, and just a couple of heavily implied orgies. It is, quite literally, inexplicable, but in the best possible way.
